According to data from Nielsen Korea, episode 1 of the drama “The Law Café” achieved an average nationwide rating of 7.1%, which is higher than the rating of episode 1 of the drama “Café Minamdang” which was aired before. The Law Café is adapted from the extremely popular web novel series of the same name by writer No Seung Ah. The film revolves around the humorous, romantic love story of Kim Jung Ho and her high school friend, the first love of 17 years, Kim Yu Ri. The two met again after many years when Yu Ri wanted to open a coffee shop for legal advice in the building Jung Ho owns.
In The Law Café, Lee Seung Gi plays a genius former prosecutor Kim Jung Ho. He was called a “monster genius” at the top of the young prosecutor’s circle, but because of his father’s scandal, he had to quit his job.

Meanwhile, Lee Se Young plays Kim Yu Ri, a passionate, eccentric and hot-tempered female lawyer. Yu Ri has a stable and desirable job at a large law firm, but because she hates injustice, she quits to pursue her own ideals. With the desire to use the law to help others, Yu Ri plans to open a “Law Coffee” – a place to consult law, and listen to customers’ stories for just the price of a cup of coffee.
