‘Connect’ is a new human being with an immortal body, Connect Dong-soo (Jung Hae-in), who was kidnapped by an organ trafficking organization and had one eye taken away, and then found out that his eye was transplanted to serial killer Jin-seop (Ko Kyung-pyo), who caused a stir in Korea. It’s a story about a brutal chase after him. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Shin Dae-sung.
Jung Hae-in portrayed the life of a lonely Dong-soo with extraordinary concentration. Dong-su is a person who lives in hiding after being bullied for having a body that never dies. Then one day, Jin-seop gets his eyes transplanted and he is falsely accused of being a serial killer. Jung Hae-in completed a dark character suffering from swirling emotions that is completely different from the image he has shown so far.
Director Takashi, who found Dong-soo in Jung Hae-in, trusted him and entrusted it to him. He said, “Dong-soo desperately needs solitude, and it is very difficult to act this. When I saw Jung Hae-in, he was really cool and beautiful, so I thought God would be unfair if such a person wasn’t lonely.
Jung Hae-in, whose strong point is his eyes, wore an eye patch to portray Dong-soo, who suddenly lost one eye. He said he had a hard time with this. He said, “His handicap was that he had half an eye. It was awkward because it was the first time I felt it,” he said. He received a lot of help from the field staff.”
In the work, Dong-soo sings as a way to overcome loneliness. He hides his face online and sings his own songs to communicate with the world. This song, which is also a medium with Jin-seop, was sung by Jung Hae-in himself. Jung Hae-in said, “I received the scenario for the first time and the song part was added, so it came to me in a fresh way.” The wrong connection is the connection with Jin-seop,” he explained.
